Star Trek Online hands-on sneak peak
If behind your human exterior pumps the green blood of a Vulcan then there is no doubt that you have worked yourself into a frenzy over the release of Star Trek: Online. Star Trek: Online is set 30 years after the Star Trek: Nemesis movie. Cryptic has crafted a full back story which is available on www.startrekonline.com..jpg)
Gameplay is divided into two distinct arenas; namely space-based starship missions and ground-based away missions. The space missions put the player in the captain’ seat of a starship and, unlike the away missions, consist of controlling a single unit. Starships get unlocked according to the player’s rank and class. Engineers get massive cruisers, tactical officers get more agile assault ships and science officers get exploration vessels which pack less of a punch. Battles are intense and whether it’s against AI or PvP expect to walk away with at least a few cases of pierced hull.
The away missions vary from planet to star base. In some cases repeating a mission reveals that the game system employs random generation of maps. This elevates replayability because one never knows what the setting or who the antagonists will be. Unlike space missions; away missions employs squad-based gameplay and these squads are either made up of players or a single player and his AI away team.
The main elements of MMORPG are still there; weapons do damage over time, players can implement special abilities affecting other members of the squad and there is still a strong emphasis on picking up loot. Star Trek Online features instances and raids which come in various shapes and form which looks to limit monotonous game play and the need for grinding.

The Asus Crosshair IV Formula is the first motherboard to arrive at the
PCF Ranch based on AMD’s new 890FX chipset. The 890FX is the flagship
of AMD’s 8-series chipsets and like its brethren lacks support for the
AM2+ socket/processors as well as DDR2 memory. AMD has given the 890FX
chipset a total of 38 PCI-E lanes which are split between four PCI-E
